Our little Hoarder!

So this is what de Janeiros side of the room looks like. She has like a million purses and stuffs them to the brim with toys and jewelry and makeup. Makeup of choice is lip gloss, and she is always lifting my lip gloss out of my purse. If you are missing something, chances are she has it. I go through her purses weekly checking for missing things. She says to me...Mama...you cant get into my purses without asking me. Yes..that is what I say to her, right back at me I know, but shes 5 and that rule doesnt apply yet. There is stuff of hers stached all over the house. She has little hiding places(that she doesnt think we know about...hahaha) too! I dont do messes and things being all over the house very well and I try not to let it drive me crazy, cause it really is adorable, so I just scream in my head a lot! Love my little hoarder!Our little hoarder is also a little sneak. She has earned these names I tell you! Im not just name calling here! I got out the camera to download some pics and found these. She thought she was pretty funny! Laughing at herself and everything. I couldnt help but laugh too! She said that flashy light was really bright....hahaha!
Yep....everything looks good up there...

Another Happy Birthaversary!!

Kirk and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary and his 38th birthday on the 25th! Yep...2 in 1. Both on the same day! Wow....13 years! Cant believe he has put up with me for that long. He is a very patient man thats for sure! And hes an old man...38!! JK! It looks good on him! It has been a good 13 years! Ups and downs, but we get through them and we decided over dinner that we still love/like each other! Haha....of course we do! Just want to say to Kirkums, thanks for doing what you were supposed to do 13 years ago and thanks for being a great husband! Kirk bought me these Beautiful flowers for our anniversary! Lillies....my favorite!!! Love them!! They are making our house smell oh so good!!!!

A Butcher, a Baker, a Candlestick(minus the stick) maker...

E had this big project she was doing in school. She loves projects and the bigger the better! This girl is so motivated! I never have to get after her to do her school work. She just does it!! Part of the project was to make a candle. Make a candle? Have never made a candle, but how hard could it be...not very. It was a lot of fun doing this with E! She is such a good girl! So smart! Her teacher thinks she is the perfect student, and she is!! She loves learning and I love that!!! Of course she got an A on the project!!

Taking a sick day...

This is how my boy spent the day yesterday. Poor guy woke up sick. He HATES being sick. Feels so picked on. Dont like it when my kids are sick. Breaks my heart!!This is how I ended the day. Well...almost. Never a good idea for me to lay down with the kiddies(love it though). I will be completely useless in minutes! I did manage to wake up long enough to go and plop on my bed. Almost again... Kirk convinced me to get up and get ready for bed and then plop in it. Good idea!

Sledding(if something gets in your way....turn.)

A bunch of us went sledding New Years day! Always forget how fun sledding is! Went to a new hill! It was great! de Janeiro loved it! She even did the jumps! Would catch air and everything! Freaked me out! Kirk thought it was awesome.....it was! Everytime she would go to sled she would say "see ya suckers." Everyone looked at me. What? Didnt see AT the whole time. He was with the big boys doing the big jumps....of course!

Poor Claire! It was slick up top! I dont blame her for clinging to the fence....I was!!! It was pretty hilarious actually! Me...not Claire ;)
All I see is white socks! How tacky! Does it count when you are wearing snow pants sledding?? I think ES's trying to do the peace sign...haha!
So Kirk and I were gonna go down together. I decided to jump on him before he was ready and we went down alright. Backwards, sideways and...backwards! He was screaming...I cant see, I cant see and I was laughing! Just glad we didnt hit anyone on the way down!

For dinner we took the kiddies to one of our favorite places to eat by our house! We have great, fun, wonderful kids!!! Kirk and AT look thrilled...haha!

Unexpected friends....

10 years ago when my mom died we met this man... Todd Park. He was the lead detective on my moms case. We had no idea we would make and become lifetime friends! He genuinely cared and was concerned about us and our family and felt bad for what had happened. He(with others) worked tirelessly on the case and found the right guilty person and did all he could to make sure justice was served! We owe him so much!! So we keep in touch and try to see each other often. We went to lunch back in October and while Nat was here, got together again! Stef had to work and couldnt be there :( Some people find it strange that we became so close, but it makes perfect sense to us!!!! If you look closely, the brown thing sticking out of his coat...thats his gun!
