Siesta time!

Was going through pics on the camera and found these. Think E must have snuck these pics of me and de Janeiro snoozing. This doesnt happen very often. Must have been tired. Love de Janeiros choice of covers. Towels are just as good as blankets....Loved the smooshed face. :)

Up, up and away in my beautiful balloon...

So our kids Elementary does a read-a-thon every year. The kids read and get people to pledge money for how many hours they read for a week. For example, we pledge 50 cents for every hour our kids read. Doesnt seem like a lot, but when you have 3 kids doing it, it adds up. E's 6th grade class ending up being the top fundraising class and for their reward they all got to go for a ride in a hot air balloon. Only the top 6th grade and 5th grade class got rides. Its was pretty cool. They loved it! At the end, their Principle got in and threw out candy to the kids below. E with her friends..
All aboard...

E's teacher just loves her. At parent teacher confs, she cant say enough good things about her. She wants to keep her. E has always been such a great student!

A conversation over lunch....

de Janeiro and I went out for a girls lunch today and she loves to talk and talk, so here is one of our conversations....
de Janeiro: Mama, I cant wait to be a mama!

Me: (Smile) Really? You cant cant wait to be a mom?

de Janeiro: YES!

Me: Thats great! Why?
Wait for it....

de Janeiro: So I can boss people around!

I knew something like that was coming! Ha! I so love my Lil Brazil! She just says it like it is! She kinda looks like a 1950's mama in this pic. Well....minus the pirate cape thing....;)
