The "Rad"nar Ragnar(long race, long post)

So, ran the Ragnar this year. Wasatch style. Started getting ready clear back in the fall of 09. I was team captain and wonderful Lynette was my c0-cap. Its a relay race of 188 miles, from Logan to Park City. You run, drive, sleep(?) and repeat from start to finish. It was June 18-19th. Im a little slow at gettingit on here. We had a great team! We were the SoleAsylum. We thought that was pretty clever. This is a crazy/fun/insane and intense race. It is the largest race in the country. The Wasatch Back is the most popular. Had 1050 teams this year compared to like 670 last year. Good times! Will so run this again! Whos in???

Bek left these on my porch Friday morning for Nat and I. How sweet and thoughtful is she! Love her! We loved them! Didnt get a pic of our group before we started, but Darci started out our legs for us. Shes got the wrist slap bracelet thingy ready to slap on Ruston.
Nat and I lookin fresh, ready and waiting to start our first legs.
Saw/ran through some beautiful parts of Utah.
Rustons first leg.
Susan(this might be out of order. Think this is her 3rd leg) My bad..

Nat...running away from the camera.
After our first legs...still lookin fresh.
Amber bringing in our fisrt set of legs. One down, two to go.
Ran our second set of legs during the night/early morning. This was an awesome exchange. Was lit up like a runway and had a DJ and music playing. Totally woke you up and got you going again.
Im the one in the reflective vest. Haha! Im waving. You had to wear reflective vests from dusk til dawn. 730pm to 7amish. Safety first.
At the main exchange before starting our 3rd legs. We all took a MUCH needed shower here(not together) :) So worth the $2. No shower has ever felt so good!!!
Only one more to go....
All the ladies. Dont let Amber fool you. She is no Angel. ;)
Just chillin waiting for Darci.
Darci handing off to Ruston. And Darci is done!
Waiting to assist Ruston on his run. Lucky Ruston eh? ;) Oh silly Amber!

Susan just finishing the 2nd hardest leg of the race and handing to me, just starting the HARDEST leg of the race. The Ragnar. I was tryign to tell myself it wasnt as hard as everyone was saying, but... ha! It was! Oh man, so intense and crazy! 4 miles of running 95% uphill, in the heat of the day, going on almost 32 hours of no sleep. Feeling good. Feeling ready. NOT! I did it though! Only cried and threw up once. Haha...Jk! Wanted to run more than walk. Did that too! There were a few really tuff parts and right when I wanted to give up, Eye of the Tiger came on my iPod and helped me through it. Next time it got tuff...Rocky theme song. Perfect timing!

Think I only had a mile left to go. Trying to look happy for the camera. Kept telling myself, Eye of the Tiger!
Cant see Susans eyes, but mine and Nats say TIRED! Riding a gondola to the Canyons where the finish line was, to wait for Amber and meet the rest of our team to cross the finish line all together!
Sweet medal and Tshirt, and going home now!!
Look at those Wasatch Backs! That what Kirk said when he took this pic. Funny guy!
The whole SoleAsylum!! Way to go everyone! Way to run! Did it in 33 hours and 40 something mins and whatever seconds(dont remember exacts.) Thanks for running!!!
